Fatal Last Words

In an effort to create a little more shelf space. The remaining hardback and trade paperback copies of Fatal Last Words are available for £5 per copy delivered in the UK.

Here is what the publisher says:
_*t’s no ordinary summer for DCC Bob Skinner, as murder mystery leaps from the page into reality in the nineteenth volume of Quintin Jardine’s outstanding cop series.

It’s August and the Edinburgh International Book Festival is in full swing. So it’s a considerable embarrassment when one of Scotland’s most successful crime writers is found dead in the author tent. The victim’s phone was tapped. Are the spooks involved? Or has mystery fiction become true crime? A second victim begs the question: have the authors become targets themselves?*_____

One of his business’s brightest talents, Hector Sureda Roca, has vanished without a trace. Now it’s up to Skinner to track him down.
But as he conducts his search it soon becomes clear that another manhunt is also in progress, and that he himself is the target.
While his daughter Alex fights that battle on the home front, his search for Sureda takes one sinister turn after another, until he is faced with the toughest question of all. Is natural justice sometimes the only answer?

As Serious as Death - Primavera 5

The fifth outing of Primavera Blackstone in Quintin Jardine’s popular Spanish based crime series is available to pre-order now. Publication date 7th November 2013. Taster below…

Primavera Blackstone has found a hard-earned contentment in a small Spanish village by the sea. A fiercely protective single mother, she doesn’t appreciate an offer of marriage. Nor does she welcome the arrival of a blast from her murky Scottish past, retired cop Ricky Ross, now a private detective and working for Jack Weighley, millionaire owner of a budget airline. Jack is a powerful, persuasive man with deep pockets, someone you don’t say ‘no’ to without considering the consequences. So Primavera teams up with Ricky to investigate a series of mystery assaults on Jack’s aircraft. Are they mere acts of vandalism, or the sinister work of Catalan extremists? When Ricky’s car is fire-bombed and he narrowly escapes with his life, more questions arise…not least, why is the Spanish Special Branch involved? As Primavera and Ricky are drawn into events, and the body count rises, she begins to understand the true meaning of ‘till death us do part’.
